I'm a heavyset woman and a little self-conscious about my figure and modesty. I still like to stand out, but respectfully so. This dress fits the bill. It is modest but flattering and forgiving of a mature full figure. The dress has been so very easy to care for, very washable, and very wearable. It travels extremely well.The dress material is not transparent, and I did not find I needed a slip or color-matched undergarments. It is very cool in hot weather. The skirt flows nicely and maintains a broad, A-line proportion, which is flattering and very much like the pictures. The front allows for a deep scoop neck without revealing cleavage. The back is smocked, and the brightness of the color and pattern makes it very figure-flattering. Also helpful for fit and comfort is a cord connecting the shoulder seams, which crosses just below the nape of the neck. This strap keeps the shoulders of the dress from sliding or shifting and adds an attractive detail if you're wearing your hair up.About the orange!I was concerned about the color, as "orange" does not complement my pale skin. I should not have worried. The color is more electric than orange, and the brightness (paired with the other pink/magenta colors in the pattern) has no impact on skin tone whatsoever. I get compliments everywhere I go and leave people smiling. The bright colors spread a cheer of their own.
